Ingrowing toenails can become painful and infected.

At Hanham Foot Health, we can can help manage ingrowing toenails conservatively by trimming back the nail and clearing the sides to make sure the nail doesn't grow into the skin.

In some cases it may be better to permanently resolve ingrowing toenails by performing a procedure called toenail surgery to remove the problematic part of the nail and stop it growing back.

The procedure in done under local anaesthetic to numb the area and either part the toenail or the whole toenail can be removed.

Two toenails can be done at a time and the procedure can take around 60 mins.

You will be need a nail surgery assessment before carrying out this procedure, to discuss the benefits/risks and the possibly outcomes.
